Vision

"And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ."
-Ephesians 3:9

Mission

The purpose of this organization shall be as revealed in the New Testament, to win people to faith in Jesus Christ and commit them actively to the Church, to help them grow in grace and knowledge of Christ that increasingly they may know and do His will, and to work for the unity of all Christians and with them engage in the common task of building the Kingdom of God.

2016 Pastor's Vision

One hundred and nine years ago, community leaders came together to start this congregation. They were a group that wanted to serve the Lord and follow His word. How do we continue their vision at Arthur Christian Church?

Acts 2:42 (KJV)

"And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers."
-Acts 2:42 (KJV)

There are four things in this verse that are key to a church today.

  • Study of Doctrine
  • Fellowship
  • Breaking of Bread
  • Prayer

Focus of the Church

That is what the church did inside, but what was the focus of the church?

"I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all."

-Ephesians 4:1-6 (KJV)

"For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:"
-Ephesians 4:12 (KJV)

  • We have all been called to be Christian servants
  • Perfecting of the saints
  • Work of the ministry
  • Edifying of the body of Christ

Pastor's Vision 2016

  • Modeled after Acts 2
  • One in Unity
  • Perfecting of the Saints
  • Work of the Ministry
  • Edifying the Body of Christ
